Translating Science to Therapy
The Stem Cell Society Singapore held its 2nd Annual Symposium on 2-3 November 2010 at the Biopolis, Singapore. Over 260 international and local investigators from 16 countries, spanning from basic research to pharma and biotech companies came together to discuss exciting developments and applications in stem cell research.
Thomas Okarma from Geron was our keynote speaker. Other notable presenters were Kenneth Chien from Massachusetts General Hospital & Harvard Stem Cell Institute, Ralf Huss from Roche Diagnostics, and Benjamin Reubinoff from Hadassah University Medical Center.
Session topics included Reprogramming, Circulation & Cardiovascular Disease, Stem Cell Therapies - From Pharma to Clinical Applications, and Stem Cells, Policy, Ethics & Initiatives.
